Welcome to Scharnick Tech. By placing an order through our website (scharnick.tech), you agree to these terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.
1. About Us
Scharnick Solutions (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2017/378408/07), trading as Scharnick Tech, is an online retailer of networking and IT equipment, including brands such as MikroTik, Ubiquiti and other enterprise-grade products. We sell directly to end customers throughout South Africa.

2. Placing an Order
When you place an order through our website and we confirm it (by sending you an order confirmation email), a binding agreement is formed between you and Scharnick Tech for the purchase of those products.
All orders are subject to product availability. If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer you the option to wait, choose an alternative, or receive a full refund.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices displayed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT at the applicable rate (currently 15%).
Prices are subject to change without prior notice. However, once you have placed an order and received a confirmation, the price on your order confirmation is the price you will pay.
We accept payment via EFT (electronic funds transfer) and credit card (when available). Products will only be dispatched once payment has been received and confirmed.
The images of products on our website are for illustrative purposes and may differ slightly from the actual product.
4. Delivery
We offer nationwide delivery within South Africa via third-party courier services. Delivery charges are calculated at checkout based on the size and weight of your order and your delivery address.
Estimated delivery times are provided as a guide and are not guaranteed. We will not be held liable for delays caused by the courier or circumstances beyond our control.
Please inspect your order upon delivery. If the packaging appears damaged, you may refuse the delivery. By signing for and accepting the delivery, you confirm that the package was received in good external condition.
Risk in the products passes to you upon delivery (i.e. when you or your authorised representative takes physical possession of the products).
5. Your Right to Cancel (Cooling-Off Period)
In terms of Section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you have the right to cancel an order made through our website within 7 (seven) days of receiving the products, without giving any reason and without penalty.
To exercise this right, contact us at sales@scharnick.tech within the 7-day period. You will need to return the products in their original, unopened packaging at your own cost, after which we will issue a full refund within 30 days of the cancellation.
6. Returns, Exchanges and Warranty

In summary: all products carry an implied warranty of 6 (six) months from the date of delivery against defects, as provided by Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA). If a product is confirmed defective by our technical team within this 6-month period, you may choose to have the product repaired, replaced, or receive a full refund.
Any warranty coverage beyond the initial 6-month CPA period is limited to the remaining balance of the manufacturer's original warranty at the time of your claim. During this extended period, the remedy (repair, replacement or refund) will be at our discretion, subject to the manufacturer's warranty terms.
All returns are subject to a technical assessment by our team to verify the defect and rule out external causes (such as power surges, lightning, electrical faults, misuse, unauthorised modification or user error) before any remedy is provided. The warranty does not cover damage from such causes.
We also accept exchanges for incorrect orders within 10 business days of delivery, provided the product is in its original condition.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Scharnick Tech will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of our website or products, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, profits or business.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other legislation that cannot be lawfully excluded.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including text, images, logos and software — is the property of Scharnick Tech or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify any content without our prior written consent.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of our website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Self-Regulatory Bodies and Codes of Conduct
As at the date of these terms, Scharnick Tech is not a member of any self-regulatory or accreditation body and does not subscribe to any alternative dispute resolution codes of conduct.
